Prayers of the People

"Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." --Luke 22:46

Week of July 10: These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.  Isaiah 56:7 -

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples." --Luke 11:1

On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” --Luke 22:40

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. --Ephesians 6:18

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. --2 Chronicles 7:14

Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. --2 Corinthians 13:7

We pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. --Colossians 1:10

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. --1 Samuel 12:23

Pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.  --2 Thessalonians 3:1
